Several methods for analyzing protein three-dimensional structure are currently experiencing technological leaps. The first lecture will introduce this status from the view point of protein structure database (PDB). The next three lectures will present recent advances in X-ray free electron laser (XFEL), cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), and high speed AFM, with an emphasis on the methodologies and discuss their limitations as well as their future prospects.
