Applicants are required both “applying for via abstract submission system” and “sending an application form”.

[ Guidance ]

1. All the presenters for free papers are expected to make a poster presentation. In addition, we are calling for entry papers for Young Scientist Award Symposium / Young Poster Award.
   Please note that those who are applying for Young Scientist Award Symposium / Young Poster Award cannot submit an abstract for Poster.

2. We call for oral presenters in each workshop from the applicants of Young Scientist Award Symposium, Poster Award, and Poster Presentations. The organizers of each WS will select one or two oral presenters from the applicants. If you wish to be selected as a workshop oral presenter, please check the list of the workshops accepting the oral presentations and specify the first, second and third wish of the workshops you want to speak. 3. For presenters of Young Scientist Award symposia and Poster Flash Talk, prepare presentation slide in English or in both English and Japanese.
   Presentation language of Young Scientist Award Symposium is English.
   For Poster presenters, a poster must be prepared in English.
   Poster discussion language is English or Japanese. (by presenter’s choice)
4. Requirements for Presenter;
   • PSSJ membership is a must.
     If you are a non-member, you need to be a PSSJ member beforehand.

     Special exemption
     This requirement will not apply to foreign participants who are members of the Protein Society or the Asia Pacific Protein Association. Once those participants send designated documents upon registration, it is not necessary to become a new PSSJ member. Please follow the instruction on the Registration page.

     *Please note that this exemption does not apply to the foreign participants staying in Japan.
   • Presenter is required to complete registration procedure before abstract submission.
   • You can be a presenter only for one paper
     *Speakers for Workshop / Symposium can also make a poster presentation (one for each).
5. Please leave the determination of acceptance / rejection and the presentation date to the PSSJ2017 Program Committee.
   

[ Attention ]

• Abstract submission can be made only via online.
• When you complete abstract submission successfully, you will receive an automatic message with 'RECEIPT CODE (5 digits)' by e-mail. This code and the password you create in the submission page will be necessary to view and edit your abstract. In case you do not receive the e-mail message, please check the e-mail address you have entered and try to submit once again. Please be reminded that neither PSSJ Secretariat nor UMIN Center can reissue the code and the password.
• Be careful that the submission page will go offline automatically when the connection time goes beyond 1 hour. To avoid unsuccessful submission, we strongly advise you to paste your abstract which you create with word processing application, not to enter words directly.
• Necessary PC environment for abstract submission
  Abstract submission is available with following browser;
  Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox and Google Chrome.
  Please do not use any other browser mentioned above. For Safari, you can use Ver 2.0.3（417.9.2）or later, earlier version is not available.
• Submit text only; tables, figures or any other graphics are not permitted.
• To receive important message from the meeting, please enter presenter's contact information.
• You can choose either English or Japanese for your abstract language.
• Your abstract is required to be less than 1,260 one-byte characters in English (or 630 two-byte characters in Japanese). If it has too many characters, you will not be able to complete abstract submission. If the number of the character exceeds the limit, you need to shorten the body.
