【1】 Abstract Submission / Requirements
- You can submit only ONE paper as first author/presenter. However, you can be a co-author for other papers.
- Presenters are required to complete advance registration before abstract submission. Click here and complete Advance Registration.
- Presenters must be JSHG & JSGDT member and complete the payment of annual membership fee for this year in order to submit abstract for presentation.
- If you are not a member, apply for the membership beforehand.
- For already registered members, we recommend you to complete payment for annual membership fee before abstract submission.

1. Online Abstract Submission
Click “Abstract Submission” button shown at the bottom of this page and enter necessary information. Your abstract is submitted via UMIN Online Submission System.

Abstract submission is available with following browser;
Internet Explorer, Netscape, Safari, and Firefox. Please do not use any other browser mentioned above. For Safari, you can use ver. 2.0.3(417.9.2)or later, the earlier version is not available.
- Presentation type
There are 2 presentation types in free papers. One is oral presentation, the other is poster presentation. Please select either one you would like to present when submitting an abstract. Program committee will review and select papers for oral presentation. Please note that papers which are not selected for oral will automatically shift to poster presentation. (If your paper is selected for oral, no need to prepare for poster presentation.) - Presentation Topics
Select first choice, second choice and third choice from Presentation Topics.
- Membership Number
Membership Number of a presenter will be required. If your application for membership is in process, please enter “99” instead.

【4】 How to fill abstract form
- Alphabetical notation of authors’ names
On the author index page, names of authors will be shown in alphabetical order by alphabetical notation of authors’ names which you enter on abstract submission form. The name of one author cannot be shown consecutively in the index page, if the alphabetical notations of her/ his name are entered differently. - Length of Abstract
Abstract body should be less than 1,600 bytes.
You might find is easier to copy and paste text into the form from word processors with character counting function such as MSWord. - Receipt Code and Password
Receipt Code and password should be retained.
You will receive automatic confirmation email including Receipt Code after you complete online abstract submission. You need both the Receipt Code and password you create in the submission system to view and edit your abstract. - Confirmation Notice of Abstract
Confirmation notice will be sent to registered email address including Receipt Code, when you complete your abstract submission successfully.
Normally this notice should be received in a few minutes after completion. If you do not receive the notice, you may have registered wrong email address or the abstract submission may not have been completed successfully. In this case, please log in and correct your email address if it is wrong. Or, please start over the abstract submission.
【5】 Edit / Withdrawal of Submitted Abstracts
- Edit
You may edit submitted abstract during submission period as many times as you need. You will receive the automatic email confirming your edition.
It is not able to edit your abstract after the submission period is closed. - Withdrawal of Submitted Abstract
You may withdraw submitted abstract during submission period. You will receive the automatic email confirming your withdrawal.
It is not able to withdraw your abstract after the submission period is closed. - Notice of Acceptance / Rejection
Notice will be sent to registered email address in late September. We recommend you to register email address other than free mail address such as yahoo mail or Hotmail because the notice may not be sent to free mail address successfully. We appreciate your understanding that only Program Committee will be responsible for acceptance and rejection.
【6】Conflict of interest disclosure for members of JSHG
First author who is accepted abstracts is required to disclose “Conflict of interest”from one year before the day that you submitted an abstract till your presentation day.

Even if there is no state to disclose conflict of interest, clarify it accordingly.
